A leading Christian Secondary School is looking for a Stock Controller to join their team in Ogun State, Nigeria.
The Stock Controller is a key resource to the School on working capital management and cost analysis of the school’s business ventures. The position reports to the Financial Accountant/Assistant Bursar and has direct responsibility for inventory controls, credit controls and shall support the Accountant in the book closing process.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Controls and Reporting
- Directly Responsible for:
- Credit Controls and Accounts Receivables Management
- Accuracy of monthly stock count for all inventories
Cost Analysis and Stock Management
- Directly Responsible for:
- Stock Reconciliations
- GRN & SIN Controls
- Cost & Variance Analysis Reporting for all of the School's business ventures
The position shall:
- Support the purchases requisition processes of the stores/warehouses to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock.
- Coordinate monthly inventory audits
- Monitor and review billing activities by the Office of VP Admin
- Ensure timely monitoring and recovery of all accounts receivable
- Present monthly business analysis report and support book closing
Requirements
- BSc degree in Accounting, Business or an equivalent relevant degree.
- Partly qualified ACCA; ACMA; ACA
- Minimum 5 years of managerial experience preferably in a school, or the manufacturing/logistics sector with good understanding of supply chain
- Proficiency in the use of Accounting Packages and Spreadsheets (MS Excel)
- Excellent organizational, analytical and presentation skills.
